Satyricon - Age of Nero

Dirty blues right here. I'm glad the Outback is automatic for uninterrupted orb-clutching.

What do you think?

Update: "Hit Between the Eyes" has been in my head for roughly 67 hours.
I love it. Best Scorps rec since Blackout, and it's firmly entrenched in their 80s vibe. Can't stop listening to it.
"Lorelei" gets me all weepy and sends me back to 10th grade Winter Formal. *sniff

Since it was Easter-- err, Zombie Jesus Day yesterday, on the ride up to my Mom's in Kennesaw I felt compelled to play Norwegian black metal in the car. Immortal, some Emperor, and some (not quite as eeeevil) Dimmu Borgir. :D

Nifelheim - s/t
Entombed - Clandestine
Dragonslayer - s/t anthology (awesome NWOBHM/trad metal)
Mercyful Fate - 9
Valkyrja - Invocation of Demise (suprisingly good traditional Swe bm)
Kingdom Come - s/t reissue (hee hee)
Fates Warning - Awaken the Guardian (definitely in my top 5 ever)
Hollenthon - Domus Mundi
Sculptured - The Spear of the Lily is Aureoled

And I just ordered a buttload of obscure black and death metal from Suffering Jesus Prod. They're having a ridiculous sale, so if you have money to burn -- or not -- you can get a) most CD's for $5 each, b) buy four get one free, c) free shipping over $10, and d) a clearance section with a 10 for $25 sale.

Really you can't afford not to.

I liked the two after it as well. Hands of Time is just so ... weird, and In Your Face (Or Kingdom - Come in Your Face) brings back all kinds of high school memories. The booklet of this s/t reissue lists their (or Lenny's) discography; I had no clue they (or Lenny) were still pumping out albums all these years later.

I always wear my lamb of god shirt on easter... :P
And of course since i'm wearing the shirt thats what I have to be listening to. Mostly just Sacrament and Ashes of the Wake. A little of As The Palaces Burn, but not as much.
We're here to make everything metal... blacker than the blackest black times infinity

I didn't even know there were follow-ups. Original KC drummer is now w/ the Scorps.
