Just for the record: I've always had a great deal of respect when I'm at the Warehouse. I'll be super bummed if it closes, and I hope it does'nt happen.

Yeah I know, im not trying to call anyone out because its not anyone specific that has been a major problem, Ive had a lot of fun hanging out with you and everyone else there. The land lords are basically tired of all the shit that has gone on, things that havent been mentioned, over the past 2 years, and it might be a possibility that we could stay in that spot but not likely.

I meant that when we leave that spot will be open and the scene we have shouldnt rely on one or two people to handle everything, and I dont really mean it has to be a group effort all the time but if people could do little things like hang out afterwards and sweep up or donate a few dollars when were real short on rent, because even one dollar would help, especially if a few people did it. But I know everyones life doesnt revolve around a spot for shows so Im not expecting for people to give us everything they have so I dont want to come off like people owe us anything.

We'll have shows somewhere, I have a few places in mine and Ill definitely let everyone know when I can figure something out.

You should put out a bin for donations, I'm sure some people would contribute, I would for sure.
And to clarify, my life does involve going to shows all the time; at least the part of my life that matters.

Some unsolicited suggestions:

How about a Paypal account that people could donate to on an as needed basis? I don't get out to the Warehouse as often as I'd like - mainly because I'm old and work too early and too much - but I always try to support the scene in whatever ways I can: buying merch, actually paying covers, etc...I'd gladly throw in a few bucks as needed.

Also, make trash cans as widely available as possible with some signs reminding the young'ins that you gotta keep the scene clean. Simply

Simply relying on people to do the right thing can be risky bet.

Man, I've often mentioned to Chris that you guys should keep a small percentage of the door money for rent and what not. I mean, I love the fact that all the money goes to the bands, but at the same time even tax free, non-profit organization have to keep a little money to pay overhead costs. Plus, the bands won't be getting any money, or shows if it closes. I really don't want to have to start tring to book Drunken Unicorn or Lenny's. If the Warehouse closes that'll pretty much be the end of the scene we've spent two years building.

This really sucks! I just attended to that place since March. Being super awesome by providing super awesome bands. At least now I finally know what to do on Halloween and New Years. But it looks like that idea just went down the toilet. :(

Where am I gonna go to an awesome and affordable metal show now?

I've said the same thing on multiple occasions... while the policy of putting the bands before everything else is very admirable it certainly isn't helping the people running the spot pay the rent... though I kinda have a feeling that's not really the main reason it can't continue after september I have personally always tried to give as much money to Chris as possible after every show to help with rent... sometimes at the expense of paying local bands (mine included) so it definitely sucks to see a lot of hard work just not ending up being enough.

If there is anything more specific I can do to help, other than that already mentioned, please let me know.

It's never been big in ATL, but in other cities "clubs" sell private memberships (very cheaply). Not only does it help protect the club as being a "private party" venue, but it also makes patrons feel more invested and aware of what has to be done to keep things running.

Most shows we do take some money from the door. Almost every show I do is a door split guarantee so bands make a certain percentage instead of a set guarantee, so we usually make 30% of the door on shows I do. Even though money is a big issue, it's not the only big issue.
