HA! Three votes for Antichrist. OKAY FINE I'LL WATCH IT. GOD. :D
There are at least two movies with that title: the one by Lars Von Trier with Willem Dafoe (which I haven't seen) and a Polish movie about four kids. I'd recommend the second.

FWIW.

Oh, The Stuff is awesome. I loved that flick as a kid. Larry Cohen put out a good bit of quality trash. CHUD had a similar vibe.

A couple weeks ago I saw Hard Rock Zombies. That movie has it all. Especially Nazis. They make everything that much funnier.

Some good recommendations here so far. Lost Highway, Inland Empire and anything else Mr. Lynch ever breathed on are essential viewing. Twin Peaks (show and prequel film) is well worth the obsession. Let's rock!

I haven't seen this recommended yet, so I will throw the name of Andrzej Zulawski in the e-pot. Specifically, his film Possession (1981). This obscure piece of 'whatthefuck' stars a young Sam Neill (a fucking legend if ever there was one) and Isabelle Adjani (Herzog-worshipers take note, she played Lucy in the Nosferatu remake).

The breakdown of a marriage. Doppelgangers. Isabelle going BERSERK. Evil tentacle monster sex. Support!

I was telling my boyfriend about this thread and the discussion about The Human Centipede from the Hellgoat thread...he said that someone should make a movie called The Human Dick-apede where they sew penises into a dude's ass... yeah that has nothing to do with movies, just thought I'd share that tidbit with y'all!

Anyways, sounds like I need to get in with the times and get Netflix & learn how to work a torrent so I can watch all these movies listed!
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Wow, I didn't know Netflix had a 500-movie limit. Something to aspire to!

Hmm, another screwed-up movie from the Kids guy: Teenage Caveman.

I can't stand Sam Neill. I want to punch him in his face. It's completely irrational. I even hate people that look like Sam Neill. There's one actor that looks just like him, and when I see that dude I start getting worked up and someone has to go, "Relax, it's not Sam Neill." And then I'm okay.

HOWEVER, as we are otherwise in agreement regarding David Lynch and evil tentacle monster sex, I have added Possession to my poor bloated queue along with The Stuff. If shit gets real in there, Sam Neill might have to go.

Oh, come now. Event Horizon should be enough to quell your Sam Neill hatred somewhat. If that doesn't work, Possession surely will.

Coincidentally, the new Fangoria has a review of Possession. Sam Neill or no Sam Neill, there's no WAY I'm taking it out of the queue. Shit is FUCKED UP.

Thanks for the heads-up on this one.

Fucked-up'edness aside, it really manages to be a great and affective film. I have to think that Zulawski broke Adjani down; taking a page from Kubrick's book--specifically the chapter on mind-fucking Shelley Duvall.

It's a rather slow movie, but watch it at full volume. You'll be exhausted afterward.

Are we talking about the 80s flick w/ SNeill? If so, yes, fuck yes, it's gulag as entertainment.

I guess it's been reished...

I need no convincing!

But yes, In the Mouth of Madness is another great example of Sam Neill being godlike.

edit--And yeah, sure, it gets re-issued after I bought the 'spensive import...

Also, it's good to see some Jodorowsky worship in this thread. Maybe not "fucked up" in the same way as other movies being brought up, but definitely surreal masterpieces make up his filmography. It would've been interesting to see his version of Dune come to fruition.

Still waiting on him to get funding for a new project. Maybe with all the recent reissues, someone will take notice.

According to the reviewer it's still out of print, and Netflix put it in the "saved" section, for whatever that's worth. So I think we need to use your pricey import for a viewing party.
