haha bad art is fine... there's just looks dumb, like they're trying too hard or something and you're right... their name is terrible. there are a couple bands that do the straight up 80's sound that i do enjoy, namely Razormaze. I just find that most of them lack the energy or "special something" that made the originals so great... they're doing all the right stuff it just doesn't sound as good to me.
SPEWTILATOR - Badass motherfuckin' street cops with nothing to lose who don't play by the rules and are out for blood.

I'll admit to not being too picky about new thrash. It's a matter of being stoked to have the option to listen to new thrash after sooo many years of nothing at all. I still really liked the first BBB album and hope this one will also jazz me, but it'll be a few days before I can spin any vinyl. I'll totally agree with you on Razormaze. That band is kickass. I hate that I've missed them at the Warehouse, twice I think. And the cover to the True Speed of Steel is siiiick.

Just downloaded Demonoir by 1349 from iTunes. I'm very impressed so far.

It's been a minute since I posted in here.

So...

Bought a bunch of original vinyl LPs off a friend:
• Mayhem - Wolf's Lair Abyss
Nifelheim - s/t
DRI - Dirty Rotten LP
Youth of Today - Can't Close My Eyes
Youth of Today - We're Not in This Alone
Uniform Choice - Screaming for Change
O.L.D. - Old Lady Drivers (Some old speed metal band that says it's on "Earach" records on the spine. Dudes make young Kreator look like Eagle Scouts)
Dissection - Storm of the Lights bane
Venom - Black Metal
Other vinyl:
• Nation of Ulysses - 13-Point Program to Destroy America LP(I've owned this album about 4 times and always end up selling it. Then I get curious about them again and buy another copy.)
Refused - Shape of Punk to Come LP (Same exact story as Nation of Ulysses. I can't think of one album without the other.)
Christian Mistress - Agony and Opium LP and Mother of Mercy 7" (FINALLY. Took forever to hunt this fucker down.)
Damad - Rise and Fall LP
GISM - Detestation LP
Inepsy - Madness and Overkill - pic disc mini LP. BADASS!! Get it through Feral Ward
Deathevokation 7" split with some band with an unreadable logo
G.A.T.E.S./Burning Leather 7" split
And some new Runaways anthology 2 CD set. Totally unnecessary purchase. I'm just a junkie for liner notes and shit for this band.

It's a great sale and Evan needs the help, go see his collection, it rules. What's your favorite out of those 4 CD's I bought?
