You got that right. That crowd looked like the target market for meth dealers and mandatory minimums and dudes who are "just about to build my Harley, man."ScreamBloodyGore wrote:Redneck inundation.
I missed SR and had to sit through god awful Neuraxis and Blackguard before getting to catch half of Deicide's set before fagging out. Lame.
Diana, I feel certain that Blackguard will make great use of your $24 on new "stage gear" at Hot Topic. I'm pissed off that they weren't attacked for using pre-recorded backing tracks through the whole set. That shit is gayer than butt sex.

nah, synth and choir shit. i honestly didn't think they were THAT bad... atleast better some of the bands before them. still kinda sounded a little like children of bodom though... and the leads were super repetitiveRyan wrote:wtf? like back up vocals or something?badcarburetor wrote:I'm pissed off that they weren't attacked for using pre-recorded backing tracks through the whole set.

No, like full keyboard tracks with effects and melodies and all kinds of bullshit.Ryan wrote:wtf? like back up vocals or something?badcarburetor wrote:I'm pissed off that they weren't attacked for using pre-recorded backing tracks through the whole set.
I didn't see Pathology this time. I saw them at the DU a few months back and thought they were like a total parody of a brooootaaaaalll death metal band. Every single song sounded exactly the same. And there was that creepy Old Uncle Who Lives in Gramma's Basement And Got His Nephew and His Friends to Form a Brooootaaaaalll Death Metal Band vibe.ratanda wrote:What did you not like about Neuraxis? What'd you think of Pathology?badcarburetor wrote:I missed SR and had to sit through god awful Neuraxis and Blackguard before getting to catch half of Deicide's set before fagging out. Lame.
Neuraxis use a six string bass that's gheyer than Blackguard. I think that says plenty, but to actually answer the question I'm so not down with super techy, look-at-how-many-notes-we-can-play-and-how-talented-we-are,-oh,-but-we forgot-to-ever-write-a-memorable-song metal.
Venom > All Tech Metal
Oh and that "fagging out" reference above was about myself for leaving halfway through because I'm old, had worked a long fucking day and wanted cereal and a bowl.
