Local bands have kinda stopped sending stuff. Most everything I have is from bands that popped up over the past 2-3 years I found/bought myself. There are exceptions...LTNR and Wolves & Jackals come to mind, but yeah.MS_39455 wrote:Good, 'cause my local requests rarely get played on WREK or WRAS these days.Brian wrote:I keep meaning to go back to WREKage one night and do this....have the playlist on my computer, it's just a matter of finding a Friday night where I'm not busy! Not sure why free airtime blasted across a 5,000,000+ resident metro area at 40,000 watts on a weekly basis to eager listeners would be ignored, but I somehow figured that was the case.Brian wrote:Local bands have kinda stopped sending stuff. And it's not just local bands, either; most labels have sharply cut back on their promo distribution and/or have switched to often-annoying online file distro.
Right, but they still send stuff...just through a different format. It's not limited to metal, either. Most labels have switched to that bullshit. It sucks, but at least they still try to get their stuff heard.WREKage-Paul wrote:This.Brian wrote:Local bands have kinda stopped sending stuff.
