NP: Crionics - New Pantheon.

I forgot how fantastic the production on Neu Throne sounds. The drums, especially.

ATTN people who are worried about that watermarked Wormrot download. They are officially giving away their album away for free here:

And because I evidently can't distinguish between the "edit" and "quote" buttons ...

The first time I heard it was after one of the 8th grade dances. My date's father was giving us a ride home, and I had the cassette inside my sport coat. All I knew was that there was a goat on the cover and it *had* to be cool as fuck.

I showed it to her in the backseat of the car and she asked her dad to put in the tape player. I was embarrassed. Yet in bliss.

Ha ha !!! I didn't know about those dudes in 8th grade. I got suckerpunched by Bathory then though.

I heard Hell Awaits first, thanks to WREK, and went out and bought it ASAP and then bought SHOW NO MERCY the following weekend. Record Bar. EVerything is always in STOCK.

SNM cover art is the shit. It's the most retarded goat man bushido bullshit ever.

Exactly. It was pretty cheesy, back in '84 or whatever. Yet also kinda scary. I know that I fear for my immortal soul, staring at the cover and listening to "Evil Has no Boundaries" and "The Antichrist".

And Venom. Man, that shit was scary, too.

But maybe all this talk belongs in the Hall.

Cianide - Death, Doom and Destruction
Acid Witch - Witch House
Afroman - Good Times
Convulse - World Without God
ColdWorld - Melancholie (soooooo good)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
Hooded Menance - Never Cross the Dead (I'm still not sure how much I like this band)
Interment - Into the Crypts of Blasphemy
IXXI - Assorted Armament
Necrovation - Breed Deadness Blood
Neurosis - Enemy of the Sun
Ulver - Shadows of the Sun
Urfaust - Verräterischer, Nichtswürdiger Geist
Machetazo - Mundo Cripta

Sorry to all my hispanic br0s but Spanish death metal > Mexican death metal thus far. Machetazo and Teitanblood is all that needs to be said.

Crow Black Sky - Pantheion

Wow, some very interesting, different melodic epic black/death metal. Phenomenal stuff, actually. They have some very tasty arrangements in their songs. Very dark, bizarre atmosphere and production. Good shit. I just came across this band today.
