A good, good friend of mine who moved out to Missouri last year might need a place to stay. He'll know for sure by the end of the week. Any of you want one more in yr hotel room to split the cost?

I know a few of you for sure have met him since he used to come up here for shows back when he lived in SC and then MS....cool dude.

anyone album to help out with that hotel situation? Also, I think I'm going to need a room. Got some extra cash recently so I think I'm gonna book a flight.

Alright, well, what were we thinking when we thought that no other bands would write us about cancelling?

DEATH BREATH has issued the following statement regarding their cancellation:

"Production difficulties with the complexity of the band being spread all over the world made an error in the schedule, so we simply had to cancel as we felt we couldn´t achieve a good performance. To do a one off show is actually more difficult than we thought. We are very sorry for this and wanna say thanks for understanding to the fans and the promoter."

Also, DEVOURMENT has cancelled, as a member in the band must attend to some family matters.

As a result of these cancellations, IN SOLITUDE (Sweden) will be making their first US appearance, and SKINLESS will be playing their last ever show, and it will be with the original line up. Please note that IN SOLITUDE will be playing on Saturday, and SKINLESS will be playing on Sunday.

We were planning to have the schedule ready to post by Friday, April 29th, but these changes messed that up a bit. We should have it finalized no later than early next week.
See you in Hell!

My friend Olga needs a place to stay. I'm at the hostel so I can't help her out. Any takers?

I wouldve of gone, but already been to the one in 2003 and 2008, but this one seems to have more cancellations on it this time and just not enough grind like past fests.

Though, it would be really cool to see Skinless, since I heard they are breaking up after 19 years... It's sad, I know, but atleast they didn't just keep going, changed their sound and started to suck or something...

Ghost is headlining over Coroner? That's the lamest thing I've read all day. I'm not a Ghost hater or anything but really?

The bands who close out the inside stage aren't the headliners...remember Portal last year? They didn't headline the night, just were the last band to play inside. Coroner still gets the longest set time.

Yea ever since the implementing of the outdoor stages the "headliners" end at 11 outside usually followed by 2 or 3 bands inside. This year is perfect for me too, I can be in bed by midnight each night.

it's pretty much contingent on rise above records getting me in , i have seen neurosis, nuclear assault, coroner, kylesa and voi-vod before - so it would be making the trip to see aura noir, ghost and marduk , i would have made more of an effort if i wan't going to hell fest the following month where coroner and kylesa are playing and catching ghost at tuska in july

From Sonar's Facebok:

Sonar
We here at Sonar regret to inform you that we are no longer able to operate as a venue. Mr. Lonnie Fisher, corporate owner of Sonar, has shut the building down. He has refused to renew the liquor license and the corporate charter for 407 Saratoga Inc. All of the money in our account went into paying our taxes with the promise of the license being renewed and transferred to the new owners.

ALSO:

Now that we do not have a license and can not obtain one, Lonnie Fisher has given us no means to continue. It is with great despair and frustration that we must announce this to all of our friends, employees, and customers, but we have been given absolutely no choice. If you are owed money by 407 Saratoga Inc, we will do everything in our power to help you recover it.

They're working on moving it somewhere nearby. Details will be announced soon.
