shows/fests you're attending outside of Atlanta

Post by MS_39455 » Tue July 10th, 2012, 1:05 pm

There have been quite a few threads lately concerning out of town events. I can safely say that the majority of the active atlantametal.net forum users do periodically travel outside of the Atlanta metro for festivals and occasional one-off events. Whether you're looking for a travel partner, inquiring about other people's experience with a city to which you're traveling, or just blatantly boasting about the badass metal fueled trip you're taking, feel free to use this sticky topic as a sounding area that won't get lost in the sea of constantly shifting topics here in the concert subforum. If there's no real interest, we will of course un-stick the topic so as not to clutter the forum. Thought it was a worthwhile suggestion though.

edit:
1/10/13 thread is no longer a "sticky"
7/24/13 thread "re-stuck" due to recent prolonged activity

Great thread idea.

I suppose this counts. If you know anybody in these cities, give them a heads up and tell them not to miss it!

Just nailed down the details for my last hurrah for what may be a long time. I know the chances are a million to one, but if any of you will be in the vicinity, I would dig raising a glass with a familiar face.

8/31 - 9/2 Killtown Deathfest - Copenhagen, DK
9/7 - Woven Hand - Oslo, NO
9/9 - Mass Grave - Ljubljana, SI

That's quite a lineup. Plus, you'll get to see Swallowed, who you just mentioned.

Me too! Woven Hand is rad and Massgrave is so fucking good. That's awesome you'll get to see them over there, one of the best things Canada has going right now.

I'm thinking about hitting up the Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse in Chicago next May 3-4. Lineup is stellar so far. Oz (US debut), Omen, Ashbury, Morbid Saint, Eldritch, Sleepy Hollow, and Split Heaven. Can only get better from here...
