This is a page my friend made posting rips of late 80's - early 90's demo tapes from ATL bands. Check out the ROT 1990 demo...fuckin' bestial shit. I suppose more will be added from the cassette tape vaults.

Wow. Hard to believe that's the same drummer in Order of the Owl, Hell Comes to Town, Terminal Doom (pre-Zoroaster), Pisterlero, etc. Cool shit. Many thanks to whoever is uploading this stuff.

Yeah, he mentioned this project to me once, but never really said much about it. I had always assumed that it was more in that rock/doom vein that most every other band he's been in has had. Obviously not so. Pretty badass stuff.Nyarlathotep wrote:That's Corey? Cool.MS_39455 wrote:Wow. Keeping The Faith
Shout out and thanks To Tyler @ Skull Zine for getting this going. I'm sure that all of the ATL. metal heads will enjoy hearing some of the old scene music. Also be on the look out for the newly formed Le Streghe Nosferatus (formerly Lestregus Nosferatus). ; )
Like us one I_LOVE_ZUCKERPENIS if you will. Thanks and again, thanks Tyler. You are a true head!!

These guys were possibly the first death metal band in Atlanta. I went to high school with their guitarist. He turned me onto all kinds of brutal shit (early Carcass, Terrorizer, etc.). Used to play a lot of shows with them as well. In fact, the first show I ever played was opening for them at the Wreck Room.MS_39455 wrote:Wow. Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!
Up from the dead.
Ran into Corey on New Year's Eve and he told me that he and Rick are in the process of rerecording the the Rot demo that was shelved nearly thirty fucking years ago. I think he's been surprised at how it's clawed itself from the grave over the last few years without any of them really knowing about it. That bootleg 7" that this thread initially turned me on to has become one of my absolute favorites of anything put to record that's attributed to anyone within the entire history of the Atlanta scene.
This thread deserved a bump anyway. Pretty excited about this, though.
