Hey Tommy: Mexico Is Hoarding All The Small & Med Shirts

Post by Diana » Fri January 18th, 2013, 7:01 am

I keep finding them on ebay. I don't know if they're bootlegs, and frankly, I don't care. I'm tired of swimming around in larges, Moribund rarely carries anything less than XL (if even that is in stock) and tailoring their XL t-shirts (which I have done) is a pain in the ass. And girly shirts are a no-go for me. You have to be girl-shaped for those, and I am shaped like a cube.

So anyway, that's who's been keeping all the small & medium shirts from us, the little bastards. But they usually have free shipping, and also Mexico City has a rad Aztec postage meter.

Moral: Ebay kicks ass, and God Bless the internets.

Ha, ha, noted. I have a ton of bootlegs, too...often the only way to find a small. I've also found that the fit can vary depending on the manufacturer. I've got some shirts labeled small that fit more like a medium and some Euro size smalls that squeeze my pencil-neck frame like a fucking gravity suit.

Ditto. We can put a man on the moon, but we apparently can't standardize t-shirt sizing. Also fun: I once bought a medium "No Survivors" shirt at a G.B.H show only to find out, when I attempted to try the thing on, that it was a child's medium. :? I turned it into a back patch.

Currently awaiting my bootleg Taake shirt shipping from "Mexico, Mexico."

Yeah, I found out what it's like to try to squeeze into something called a "petitie small" due to ebay...now that shit is on the back of my vest.

Good girl. Iron-on fusible is the jam. I need to get you to come to my craft group. Pornentines are up next - February is a very special time. You interested? I'll PM you.

PS: What in the FUCK is "petite small"? Anyone that fails to put measurements on their shit should be thrown face-first into an anthill.

I know that petite means "small" in French but it wasn't just a translation from how it looked on the label...
The fit was kinda like a youth large. The shirt was pretty short, the neck was tight, and omg the print across the chest made it look like I had on a breast binder.
