Malformity

Post by ratanda » Sat June 8th, 2013, 5:29 pm

Most of you know us but I'm finally making a thread to mention our new 2nd guitarist Glenn. His first show will be the Boris Records showcase June 15 and we're all excited.

Since this thread was created we've changed the band name from Lectures on The Apocalypse to Malformity and also added Eric on bass.

Our recording is finally complete and we have a song up. Check it out:

Bravo, man...sounds great. The old pre-Lectures Malformity had some great songs, but you've all really come into your own. Keep it up!

Just an FYI that I've given a few spins of each track; to you all, they're really a solid couple of tunes. Production is thick yet crisp and I think the vocals are even better this time around. From an old school listener, Malformity could have easily held its own with several of the old Morrissound and Sunlight classics...just my $0.02, but no BS here. Everything sits nice within the mix (good engineer), and I like that you can hear snare rolls and cymbals/etc really well.

Lots going on in "Rapturous Damnation," but I think "Unraveling" is my favorite...decidedly old school vibe. Great job.

Hope I can make it out to a show one of these days when I'm not on kid duty!

Man, that really does sound so good!! All of your time and effort has sonically paid off in a major way. Very excited to spin the rest of it soon.
