Ticket Master

Post by Knucklehead » Mon June 20th, 2016, 10:54 am

So, apparently Ticket Master was the subject of a class action suit over fees and they are now issuing vouchers.

Login, select "My Account" and on the lower left panel there will be a link for "Active Vouchers". I'm assuming that the site is getting slammed, because it is timing out for me. But one of my coworkers said that he had something like 40 vouchers.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of folks. (*cough*)(*vomit*)(*cough*).

EDIT: Turns out I got nearly 30 discounted or "free" tickets.

No active vouchers.

I think the last time I used anusblaster was in 2012
seven bands seven churches seven sages five magics / up the hammers to stay

I'm crossing my fingers and banking on it being good for ProgPower. Looks like mostly LiveNation venues and such (As far as I know, Center Stage IS), and the ticket link for ProgPower goes to Ticketmaster.

I rarely go because the bands generally just flat out aren't worth the price. But there is usually at least 1 band I'd like to see each day, and if I can use the vouchers, I have no reason to not go. Might even walk out with a new band I enjoy or something.

Edit:
9 ticket vouchers
9 discount vouchers (for a WHOPPING $2.25 per)

Progpower sold out in 8 hours this year...probably won't be on the list!

I had like 18 free tickets and 19 discounts as of yesterday and now I only see discounts...no more free tickets.

Yeah, what's with this free ticket thing everyone is talking about? When I was finally able to successfully log on this morning after a dozen failed attempts yesterday it appears all that I'm offered is a discount of $2.25 on up to eight individual purchases at normal price. So now the cost of additional fees will average $12.75?

I have a bunch of free ticket codes. But seems to be mostly amphitheater type events.

I cross-posted to NWN. Evidently, the Sabbath shows are eligible for free tickets.

I imagine it will mostly be large venues that will not sell out.

Also, a friend told me that there is only so much money set aside each year. Maybe $10 million? Which really doesn't seem like much. So I imagine that the free tickets for this year will likely be unavailable in the next few weeks.

I'd be willing to see Joan Jett and Def Leppard for free. Went to check my vouchers again, won't load.

Now that every eligible show is sold out for those ticket vouchers everyone kept talking about...8 finally show up in my active voucher tab this morning.

They're good for four years. Now that the first round is (nearly?) sold out, my guess is that most people will forget about them and we'll be able to use them next year.

If we don't forget about them.
