I have that Groms disc. Don't listen to it much, but for a Christian band, they were pretty damn good. Man, if you've ever made it through Unveiling the Wicked in one sitting, that's once more than I have...

I do enjoy that Groms record a lot. I have to admit that I dusted it off after recently glancing at the crazy prices some early 90's Christan metal records are currently going for on Discogs. It seems that I unwittingly amassed a very small gold mine as a confused youth.

I'll never forget your excitement when we ended up talking about Believer that one time ages and ages ago on your patio, and then the subsequent tales of finding unsuspecting Christian tunes.

I did. Still have at least one buried in a box somewhere. He initially ran an ad in the back of Heaven's Metal magazine. I'd wait for months and months (nearly a goddamn year in the final instance) after sending $2 or whatever it was. He'd always eventually send a note with the zine apologizing for the delay, but claiming my sealed envelope somehow arrived with no money in it and he just sent it to be nice. Met him in person the one time I went to the Cornerstone festival. Strange guy. Total weirdo. Discovered bands like Metanoia, Antestor, Extol, etc. all through his little zine when they were demo bands.

Disgrace (Finland) is a band that went from awesome to suck in quite a hurry.
