well, here's my 2 cents:

like many already stated, Incarceri9 is definitely a different kind of metal, a type of metal that just about everyone on this forum DOES not listen to. I myself hate nu-metal and anything that sounds remotely like it, and it's not because I'm too 'cool' for it, it's just not what I prefer to listen to because it sounds too commercialized. Simple as that. (therefor I don't like Inc9 for this reason) Top 40 just isn't my thing (Nickelback was mentioned several pages back...they're top 40 material.) Once again, it's not because I'm too 'cool' for it, it just so happens it's how I grew up for the most part. I wasn't exposed to much top 40 stuff until middle school (except for some alt rock and old classic rock) because my dad HATES top 40...I took after him. I was like this before I even discovered death metal.

Also, I'll repeat what many have said, don't trash talk your local scene. Our scene may not be the biggest thing around but at least we have one and we have plenty of people here who actually go out to the shows. If you even heard of it, at Maryland Deathfest this year, there were about 40 of us from THIS particular scene who all traveled up there for that fest, myself included among several others on here. If that isn't solid representation, then I don't know what is.

I guess death metal isn't your thing so maybe, just maybe you shouldn't post here. This forum isn't for nu-metal or vampire metal or whatever you call it. Nobody here will take kindly to it, as you have seen. If you DO like death metal, then feel free to post in other threads about something you like or whatever. There are a few people who go out to death metal & black metal shows who also like nu-metal. That's fine. It's those who can't get past the barrier of nu-metal closemindedness that we don't like. What I mean by that is, we like those who like music for the music, not for commercial success or whatever it is you're looking for. Music made solely for that purpose just sucks. End of story.

ps - Pat rules. And his girlfriend is very hot. (don't know if y'all are still together or what but I'm referring to the chick you brought over to Sara's b-day party)

pps- everyone here is not a scenester. We're all in college or already graduated, thanks. For some of us, that was years ago. Or if some of us didn't go to college, we're just old and love good metal.

no, that guy actually lied about most of the shit about Jordan. Later he challenged one of us to a boxing match saying he would win cause he had jesus on his side. I accepted his challenge and then never heard from him again.

to the college guy who called us nu metal. We play all sorts of metal. Some black metal kids @ a show ask us what our genre was, not high howya doin. I told them first person shooter. Fuck genres and stupid fuckin labels. Ive heard folks call us death,black,gothic,doom,prog, etc. I dont really care. As far as commercial success, are you kidding? Closeminded? hah!! If any money at all comes in from anything it's gravy. I have a full time job to pay my bills. As for the scene hating stuff, go back and really listen to what was said. The only one in that video who said anything negative about any scene was our ex drummer. Who was negative about everything.

One last suggestion. If this is a death/black metal forum, then change the name of it to Atlanta death/black metal forum.

hahahahaha, Incarceri 9 sucks. Is your 7 kids tired of seeing you live yet? since that's the only people that come to see you, Your wives probably wont even come out anymore.
I really like the intricate vocal harmonies in blood code by the way. Sounds like you have Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys on vocals. Actually he could most likely do better.
