If Samael was still on the bill, how would BOBE made it then I wonder? I would like to be in the promotional or booking business because whoever set this up sucks! Still going though!

Wow, I just convinced myself that I liked Book of Black Earth, haha, and now this? I hope Moonspell and SOTM will play longer now, This tour is cursed.

What's the fucking deal w/ tours lately? Bills form, bands drop off, folks settle for what's left when the dust clears. Bullshit if you ask me.

Anyone have an extra (free) ticket? I'm not really a Moonspell fan, but I have nothing to do tonight and feel like getting drunk at the Masq.

The show last night was great! Saw Gene and Tommy (of course he's there). Gene had to scam some posters which was funny. I think he got he one's he wanted with no trouble. Opening band wasn't that great for me called Dead Rites kind of a punk/heavy metal band. I really came to see Secrets Of The Moon. Met sG(singer) and LSK (Hot bass player) and chatted with them for a bit. Hope the picture comes out Gene! Very good live and played some good songs. Divine Heresy was pretty good and Dino brought out an 8-string guitar for one song, nice! Dino was at the merch stand so I bought their new CD and had him sign it and what a nice guy too. Good to talk too! Moonspell was great and I enjoyed them alot. Very theatrical ( you'd be laughing Diana) and put on a good show. Grabbed the setlist and it was:
At Tragic Heights
Night Eternal
Finisterra
The Southern Deathstyle
Wolfshade
Opium
Scorpion Flower
Moon In Mercury
Vampiria
Mefisto
Alma Mater
Encore
Blood Tells
Fullmoon Madness
The sound for all bands was excellant. Not too loud and everything could be heard. Only thing I see that went wrong was the Moonspell guitar/keyboarder's laptop gave out for a bit but no big deal. Took a bunch of pictures but I can't upload them yet, no cable with me!

I could not justify paying $15 for seeing SOTM play what, five songs?

Yea it was about 5 or 6. I understand your point VOEG but if these tours with European BM bands aren't successful enough, they won't come over here.

Yeah, but the point is I don't want to see these bands anyway... I'm more interested in seeing Obituary or Megadeth than SOTM.

I almost dropped by because I was at the haunted house thing out back but by the time we finished, the show was over.

I did see Paul's car in the parking lot of that counts for any metal cred

Meh. You got plenty, chief. I was at home, nursing a single beer and wondering if my guy was going to enter a plea this morning.

Thanks for the setlist V-GER.

I think Secrets of the Moon only played 4 songs, 2 from Antithesis and 2 from the new one Privilegivm. The songs were very long so if you didn't know the songs, it might have been hard to tell how many they played.

Dead Rites were not good, but the cover of The Trooper was rather fun.

Divine Heresy were terrible, and Dino has got an ego even bigger than he is. What a dick. Even the other bands wished Samael was there.

Moonspell was great, and Fernando is a terrific front man and a nice guy. Wished they had played some faster songs towards the end rather than the more atmospheric stuff, but I'm just being picky.

Also met Alex from WREK and Paul so that was nice too :)

One of the guys from SOTM ( must have been the drummer Thrawn) talked to my friend and I for a good 30 minutes! Great guy, said he was enjoying the US so far, so who knows if they'll come back?

I was just told LSK wasn't in leather. So I'm glad I spent my night at the Highland Tap.
