Yeah I'm glad I moved here before I got into metal. I used to live 20 minutes away from Miami.
I think the Miami area was decent for shows. When I'd visit my friend down there we'd go to Ft. Lauderdale for shows, but yeah, he had to make the drive to Tampa, Orlando and even Atlanta for some shows.
Since living in Florida for a longtime and in the last couple of 5 years or so, gigs are few and far between. Fort Lauderdale gets some and Tampa too! Orlando gets a bit more I think but the Hard Rock facility stopped a lot of metal shows because of them being owned by Disney.

Yeah I lived in Ft. Lauderdale...but I moved when I was 10...didn't get into metal until I was 15.

Opening for them?
I like the new Devil Wears Prada and since I have a free ticket thing for Livenation so I might go to that. That's just sad though really.

Yes, you are way so right about that so sad. Your mother is ashamed? Is that why she poops on you at night?

Just watched a studio report of Soulfly. The will be on tour starting in February with Prong. It would be great if they didn't pass on Atlanta.

Just noticed that Hail! has posted 2 US dates so far. Maybe an Atlanta date would be nice!

Just saw that Immortal has posted 4 US dates with a ton more coming. Better not put them in Hell, Immortal in Heaven only, hahahaha!

I don't know, man -- 4 dates in the U.S. then 8 days later they are playing a festival in Germany and a week after that they are playing a festival in Moscow. I hope there is an extensive U.S. tour, but the summer doesn't look promising, based on their schedule so far.
Having said that, Immortal slays live. The one time that I saw them was with 6,000 other people. I would pee my pants if they play in Hell. That would be a legendary show.

If this happens, I will probably go apeshit and throw myself off that little balcony onto the stage. Just giving everyone a heads-up on this.
Knucklehead, we should try and make sure they drink something besides PBR. Poor Marduk.
