This is once again not about the fest. This is about people namely Jake destroying art work which just happened at the fest. The two are not related I do not think nor did I say. But if I came to your house and smashed your play station you would be upset wouldn't you? So since I booked the venue that was my house.

As far as the fest goes I had a good time. Fucking Wormrot Maruta and Phobia, Even Friday MWDH (who were really wonderful and want to come back) Black September (felt really bad they only played in front of like 30-35 people but not bad that AC played in front of nobody.) Missed Thou that kinda sucked. Batillus was pretty awesome. Was hoping to hear them and LTNR back to back but whatever can't have everything. Some people seemed disquieted by the fact I was having a good time as though I shouldn't. But I was like "fuck it I'm paying for this shit I might as well own it and enjoy it." I lost like just under $475 but about a $100 or so was beer and since I had my share of that so from that standpoint everyone bellyaching, moaning and slagging probably did me a favor. So not to be ungrateful THANK YOU.

In the end got some sponsorships out of it from people who see the vision I want to present and not the one that lack of funding makes you settle for. So definitely looking forward to the tour next year. I like for Atlanta to come out but shit I'm not gonna sweat it since it's already paid for. Got a few job offers that I will probably turn down unless the money is really good to leave sweet Atlanta. And I think I got a new girlfriend out of the deal not sure yet. I'm sure she'll let me know where we stand by the end of the week. All in all a good weekend. So I'm not complaining plus I got a shitload of free gear. So I'm probably even.

What did I learn:
1.You can't make everybody happy so don't even try. Just try to put together and promote a good fest for those that don't get it fuck 'em.

2. If you can't get strong locals to open make sure every band from top to bottom can bring it.

3. Don't book bands whom nobody knows who the hell they are.

4. Learn to take it easy. It's a fest called the apocalypse it's not the end of the world actually.

5. Let the shit talkers talk. Eventually the ADD will kick in and they'll move on to something else.

6. No more than 1 day. You don't know how relieved it was that CYP cancelled 3 days is too draining.

7. Get as many sponsors as possible. Let some one else pay for it.

8. Food on site. I kept getting hungry. Could've been the weed.

9. No more "battle of the bands." That was a complete waste of time. And solved nothing. And it's less bitching I gotta hear. And it alienates bands that don't make it.

How did it take you 3(?) years of doing this fest to figure this shit out? The majority of that is Show Booking 101... people that haven't ever booked a show before know that shit and it's taken you 10 years to figure it out.

You had a handful of good national bands that would draw here for the fest and rather than booking locals that will draw more, you book a bunch of no name bands from out of state that no one here cares about. War Famine? A Warm Gun? Betty Sue Aside? The Cooters? Your responsibility to touring bands as a promoter is to book a show that people will attend and booking your friends bands that have no draw rather than locals that do is stupid, not to mention they all canceled at the last minute. If you want people to come you have to book bands they want to see. Where were all the good locals that competed for spots on the fest? Living Decay? Doomed Youth? Let the Night Roar? Death of Kings? Those bands draw regardless of who they're playing with and would have drawn even more playing with bands like Phobia, Wormrot, Thou, and MWDH. We draw 30 to 50 people almost every time we play and we haven't played a show in 4 months. Where were those people? They didn't come. Do you know why? Because you insulted them and they wanted to see you fail.

I'm sure you will continue booking shows and I feel bad for the national acts that don't know any better than to book with you. What's sad is that when no one comes to your shows you'll still blame it on everyone but yourself.

I tried sniff sniff to sniff sniff get those bands to play my shitty boring sniff fest baaaahhbaahaabaaah fest but they sniff sniff bahbahbah didn't want to. because I'm just a horrible bahbah sniff sniff promoter. bwahbwahbwah I really wish sniff sniff I could be like everybody else and sellout veues sniff sniff everytime I promote. sniff sniff. But I can't bawahbawah I such a failure. sniff sniff sniff Mark is right I should go hang myself I did it but I'm Catholic sniff sniff.

Are we still talking about that that was so like 3 days ago. So people wanted to see me fail. FUCK THEM! Think I give that much of a rat's ass. No I don't. I loss $475 or so $100 of that was on beer that FTTA staff probably drunk most of it. Another $50 on food that we probably are most of. And I got about another $480 in free gear. FUCK I think I came out ahead. I had an amazingly good weekend. The venue turned out absolutely to be perfect. Most of the bands sounded pretty good. I failed hardly.

You can't induce some one to fail it you don't know what they're trying to do. The fest itself is a very small part of a bigger picture. As intelligent as you are Ryan even you still can't see where I'm going with that. But trust me it's well on its course and I'm sure you'll be playing in some local band probably still Spewtilator (long live) and you will see the end of fruition and go DAMN!

As far as booking shows. I'm just doing the fest/tour every year shit I'm getting paid to do that and that's a full-time job in itself. Meanwhile I've got a couple of books and a screen play to finish writing and I've decided to go full-time on the WPT less stress. I was only got back into promoting for the SC label. But screw that what do I know about running label?

I see the bigger picture you're shooting for, we talked about it on more than one occasion... the touring fest, creating jobs, helping local bands gain exposure etc. My point is that you don't achieve those kinds of things by acting like an internet tough guy and lashing out against the people that can help you succeed. People are going to talk shit on what you do regardless, there's plenty of people that bad mouth MDF and Chaos but do you see the people running those fests going around talking shit to anyone that has a problem with them? No, because all that does is solidify the criticisms those people are making and ensure that they won't attend. You are shooting yourself in the foot. Regardless of you having fun and getting enough free gear from the bands to make you feel ok about your loss on the fest there were still a bunch of out of town bands that got fucked over and have things like this to say:

Giving bands a guarantee is fine as long as it's reasonable and you can actually get it for them. If you promise them money and then don't provide what you guaranteed then it's your fault, not anyone else, and you blaming it on Atlanta fucks everyone over because you don't know what you're doing.

It's up to you to act like a professional Floyd since, judging by your email formatting, that is how you wish to be perceived. Jake never shit talked you directly, and definitely didn't insult your mother, just voiced his opinion on the fest. Aside from that, you stated yourself that you lashing out at him had nothing to do with what had been said on the forum so your above statement doesn't even make sense.
