you don't like Impaled? :shock: I think they're great! I suppose they can be part grindcore too. hmm...I'm gonna have to add Immolation and Grave to my death list. :P

Vital Remains, Nile, Kronos...

There are great bands in both black metal and death metal. Its foolish to say, "BLACK METAL IS BETTER", or "DEATH METAL IS BETTER".

Yeah, we certainly don't have taste.

Just because everyone else mentioned them, I'm not going to say Emperor.
I really like Vesania, but I must admit that I don't hunt down a lot of black metal for the same reasons others have mentioned: too much elitism turns my stomach.
But death metal, I have to list Atheist, Akercocke, Obituary, early Sentenced...
