I've told this story mulitple times here, but I do love it so.

I saw Immortal in Germany in 2008. During the first half of the show, some smartass down front center is holding up three stuffed panda bears. About three quarters of the way through, Abbath takes a break between songs and tells the guy, "I like your paaaaaaahhhhhhndddaaas." He then asks him, "Are those the paaaaaaaahhhhhhhndddaaaas of nor'tern daaaahhhhhrkneesssss?"

And then they launched straight into the song.

Considering I just had a conversation regarding my inability to watch and entire 1349 set, das damn convenient.

Seriously, was this tour a surprise? "Okay lads, time to leave for the US! Who's got the visas?" "I thought it was your turn." "No way, I did them last time." "Well look under the couch."

I know they have some fans on here so I thought I'd mention it. No loss to me however...seen em at the Carcass show and they blew.
Sweet...don't have to see em for a 3rd time.

Sucks for everyone else though.

Roadburn was this past weekend, and I know that a lot of bands weren't able to make it because of the volcano in Iceland. In fact, one cat I know decided to drive from Holland all the way back to Finland.

Iceland is no joke.

yeah that's what I heard too, not because of visas. That sucks they can't make it for the first few shows but I've never seen Diabolic before so that's cool. I remember when they were supposed to play here awhile back and broke up one week before the show here...literally one week! I was pissed. Well, should be a good show!

@Knuck- that's a great story! I laughed my ass off when I read that!
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

The volcano occurred to me later. This is an acceptable, and very metal, reason to miss this show.
