RIP Jared Anderson
Guy was mellow the time i met him, talked about Internecine. Great stuff and did great work with Morbid Angel and Hate Eternal. His contributions to metal will be missed by fans, and those that truely knew him will undoubtedly miss him. Burn one for the Anderson.
Yeah that sucks, he was much too young. It's hard to realize how much time passes in a decade, but this has had me thinking about how much living I've done since I was 30, and how much is missed out when you go so young, especially in someone so talented. And how much is missed out on by those close to him. I've heard people posting on blabbermouth blaming this on his drug addiction, but that doesn't really matter, it does not mean he wasn't a good person. It just means he had as many human weaknesses as any of us and more things available to him than most. WHo knows whether he might have kicked it if he'd lived long enough.

I have known addicts (one of whom being an ex of mine) who have tried very hard to kick their habits and have had sober times, times in which they realized how much living there is to be done when they aren't always fucked up. It's not always enough to make a significant change, but that doesn't mean there was no recognition of it. Many of them go through periods of months or even years of soberness, but fall back "off the wagon." It's all just human weakness, I believe, and none of us are really immune to it. We all have something that weakens us. It's unfortunate that for an addict, their weakness kills them faster.necroodin wrote:Definately people who that kind of bullshit around haven't lived a day in their lives.
I'm not sure if this was the case with Jared, knowing as little about his situation as I do, but I am sure he must have had times when he did realize that he could be so much more. But as Greg said, his contributions to death metal were great, and will be missed.
