I dig it. i can't help but feel like it would be better if they sprinkled in at least a smidgen of the death metal influence that was so prevalent on We Came for the Dead but oh well, its still pretty ripping. Morning of the Mezmetron is the only throw away track imo. I think Tooth and Claw is probably my favorite, that main riff is too good and i'm a total sucker for that kind of shit.

there's tons of WCFTD parts sprinkled throughout the songs, i think they do it in weird,. kind of obscure ways , almost like little nods back to the early shit. Tooth and Claw is definitely the best track IMO. I think morning of the mezmetron is awesome, Ghoul is a band that seriously has to have all of their songs read in context and order and the lyrics in front of you to fully appreciate the stuff. I really hated most of the tracks they released prior to this and thought it was gonna suck, but hearing it all in place changed everything about that. I think its better than splatterthrash at the very least

yeah, I can agree with "little nods" but I want some god damn blast beats!! the lyrics are absolutely crucial... i wish I was on that level and you're totally right about them having to be heard in order. I was not stoked on Metallicus Ex Mortus when they first released it but boy howdy was I enjoying it when it came on at the end of the album. I'd say it's at least on par with Splatterthrash. I think Splatterthrash has some better single songs but as an overall album Transmission Zero is probably stronger.
