RIP Martin E Ain

Post by Azrael » Sun October 22nd, 2017, 6:14 am

Announced via Hellhammer Offical FB page at 7am today.

His vocals on Monotheist and the depression he conveyed will always be some of the grimmest and depressive stuff on record.

Definitely sad news. He had moved away from making music after Celtic Frost dissolved, but his position is cemented as metal god.

for my money it's all about Monotheist. The depression and vibe he added was never recreated by Tom alone. Triptykon tries to tap into that sound but something is missing, it's Ain.
