Death of Kings tonight opening for Super X-13
at the star bar. you know shit starts later there, i'd say probably about 10 or so, we're playing second at around 11-1130.

Not totally my thing, but they were super tight. Really good live sound. Had a few folks tell me this was just a "one off." Didn't hear that from the band though. Packed house and didn't get around to asking Shane. Mainly there to see Death of Kings rock hard.
On a side note, the opening band, Transmaniacon MC is that same awesome Blue Oyster Cult cover band that was calling themselves Vera Gemini the last time they played at Star Bar. I know there are a few folks that dig BOC on here. Check these guys out if you get the chance. I don't dig cover bands often, but these guys sound awesome.

Incidentally, The Velveeta Brothers do a pretty cool MUCH HEAVIER (No Keyboards!) Metallized cover of BOC's classic "Veteran Of The Psychic Wars!!!"
