How was Super X-13? Was this a one-off gig? I would like to see them again.

Not totally my thing, but they were super tight. Really good live sound. Had a few folks tell me this was just a "one off." Didn't hear that from the band though. Packed house and didn't get around to asking Shane. Mainly there to see Death of Kings rock hard.

On a side note, the opening band, Transmaniacon MC is that same awesome Blue Oyster Cult cover band that was calling themselves Vera Gemini the last time they played at Star Bar. I know there are a few folks that dig BOC on here. Check these guys out if you get the chance. I don't dig cover bands often, but these guys sound awesome.

Thanks for the reply. Well, that sucks that I missed it. "Chicken Chow Mein" and "The Creeper" are great songs. I've still got their demo somewhere...

I miss Something too. They were always great live.

COOL!!! I LOVE BOC!!! I've seen 'em 4 times!!! :)
Incidentally, The Velveeta Brothers do a pretty cool MUCH HEAVIER (No Keyboards!) Metallized cover of BOC's classic "Veteran Of The Psychic Wars!!!" :D
