I would love to get my band on this to join the fun. We got some solid death metal covers, I think it would fit well for a halloween party show. Covering Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Deicide, and Dying Fetus. We've got originals of course, and are looking for shows in the future, but this seems like a great opportunity to get out there and show people what we're all about and meet up with some of the bands in the local scene. Let me know what you think.
See you in Hell!
Ive got a black sabbath cover band that could definitely do it if youre still looking for bands. called "Lords of this World" check out the link below to hear our cover of War Pigs and Snowblind!

are some of the dudes in that band Hawks? Kyle at 529 was telling me about a sabbath cover band with those dudes in it.Asrynth wrote:Ive got a black sabbath cover band that could definitely do it if youre still looking for bands. called "Lords of this World" check out the link below to hear our cover of War Pigs and Snowblind!

It's not just semantics. It has to do with the percentage of income that comes from admission for entertainment versus alcohol sales. Food sales can also be a factor in ages allowed and in whether an establishment is allowed to be open on Sunday. I can't break down the specifics, but I think that's the general idea behind the laws.SadisticRitual wrote:haha "a venue with a bar"Brian wrote:huge legal difference.SadisticRitual wrote:yeah well, the masquerade is a venue that also has a bar... whats the differenceBrian wrote:well, 529 is a bar that also has shows. it's not primarily a venue.

i'm kinda wanting it to be bands doing full sets of just 1 or 2 bands... i think this will draw more people in like "Oh rad, Primate is playing a whole set of Black Flag songs!" as opposed to just a bunch of random covers. also, there is a strict "no misfits" policy. i've heard 80 bajillion bands cover those songs and i don;t care to hear any more.

(that's a joke)
We've done the Misfits thing for a few years and decided not to do it this year, opting to switch it up by doing various bands. Anyway, sounds like a fun show. Hope it goes well.
Let the joyous celebrations of Hell begin!
