I would love to get my band on this to join the fun. We got some solid death metal covers, I think it would fit well for a halloween party show. Covering Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Deicide, and Dying Fetus. We've got originals of course, and are looking for shows in the future, but this seems like a great opportunity to get out there and show people what we're all about and meet up with some of the bands in the local scene. Let me know what you think.
See you in Hell!

It's not just semantics. It has to do with the percentage of income that comes from admission for entertainment versus alcohol sales. Food sales can also be a factor in ages allowed and in whether an establishment is allowed to be open on Sunday. I can't break down the specifics, but I think that's the general idea behind the laws.

Also, zoning regulations, building codes and fire codes all play a part in this. Remember the Rhode Island nightclub fire, bad regulations and code review.

What about a band doing a mix of various Halloween/horror themed Rock/Punk and Metal? (Misfits, Sabbath, Alice Cooper, White Zombie, etc)

i'm kinda wanting it to be bands doing full sets of just 1 or 2 bands... i think this will draw more people in like "Oh rad, Primate is playing a whole set of Black Flag songs!" as opposed to just a bunch of random covers. also, there is a strict "no misfits" policy. i've heard 80 bajillion bands cover those songs and i don;t care to hear any more.

Why do you hate freedom so much?

(that's a joke)

We've done the Misfits thing for a few years and decided not to do it this year, opting to switch it up by doing various bands. Anyway, sounds like a fun show. Hope it goes well.

Actually I wish I could talk the guys into doing a Carnivore tribute. Now that would be fun!
