Hmm, Tim was wrong.....he was certain it had been booked at Gwinnett Arena, which I would have preferred anyway. Free parking, etc.

I dont like the seats they have right now on ticketmaster. I am gonna wait until closer to the show. I am also going to see this show in New Jersey at the meadowlands.

Actually it does sometimes, Ticketmaster is slick, They release tickets close to the show. I have bought top seats days before the show took place including sold out shows. Gigantour I got GA tickets 3 a week before, Lamb of God last year I got tickets Row G at Hi Fi 4 or 5 days before and I know numourous shows in NY I bougth tickets days before the show where I was planning on scalping. Worst case senerio for me is that I buy the tickets on EBay and pay a little more for good seats but I have most of the time gotton them from ticketmaster so that is really my reasoning for waiting if I dont buy them when they first go on sale

once I went to an Ozzfest and bought tix at the venue the day of Ozzfest and got 2nd row seats. I can't say that happens at every show I go to though.

Ticketmaster is strange like that, It doesnt work for me everytime I try it but it has more often then not. I prepare to buy on ebay for a particular show and keep checking ticketmaster. Going way back to Metallica-The Black Album tour I went to buy tickets to just get into the show , bought them the day of the show and ended up with first section past the stage and first row off the floor.

Another TicketMaster thing that can work in your favor: credit-card approval failures. Sometimes they'll run a card through, but if it fails later the tickets get released back into the general pool.

Just bought tickets from Ticketmaster. Got row J, ten rows from the stage. Pretty good deal. If anyone is interested they still have some row J seats left I saw after I bought mine.
I saw this tour in New Jersey and it kicked ass. Slayers setlist is really cool. A little shorter with a lot of set songs that they usually do but they were really cool and had a great video set up during the show. Lamb of God was good too. Look forward to seeing this again.

It sounded good from outside the gate.

Security would not let my friend in, and our comp tickets sucked ass anyway, so we cut our losses and headed back toward the parking lot.

And that's when things got interesting; I was recognized by a WREKage listener (always kinda cool) and my friend might have hooked up with a (good, well-traveled) black-metal vocalist for his fledgling band. :!: Then we went to Tower Records. New Yyrkoon and old Immortal. \m/

They only had the 'other' side of the amphitheater open, parking was in that field where the side-stage was set up for Ozzfest, and they were charging $10 to park, the bloody bastards. (Parking at Hi-Fi Buys is normally free in the big paved lot.)

I heard the show hadn't sold too many tickets, but that lot was pretty full.

Super killer. This was my first time to see Slayer. I heard a few people saying that they weren't nearly as intense as they might have been 15 or even 10 years ago. Either way it was definitely unholy. During their whole set the big screen flashed slow motion Middle Eastern executions, creepy images of Third Reich Jewish fodder, and Ed Gein's unfortunate house guests: butchered, decapitated, gutted, and hung. Intense and very cool indeed.

Children of Bodom, Mastadon, and Thine Eyes Bleed all played pretty short sets. COB met all expectations...Warmen killed. Lamb of God was Lame of Dog. It was a good show.
