It sounded good from outside the gate.
Security would not let my friend in, and our comp tickets sucked ass anyway, so we cut our losses and headed back toward the parking lot.
And that's when things got interesting; I was recognized by a WREKage listener (always kinda cool) and my friend might have hooked up with a (good, well-traveled) black-metal vocalist for his fledgling band.

Then we went to Tower Records. New Yyrkoon and old Immortal. \m/
They only had the 'other' side of the amphitheater open, parking was in that field where the side-stage was set up for Ozzfest, and they were charging $10 to park, the bloody bastards. (Parking at Hi-Fi Buys is normally free in the big paved lot.)
I heard the show hadn't sold too many tickets, but that lot was pretty full.
