they shouldn't remake the thing on the premise of they would just remake a remake. plus, the remake is pretty friggin awesome.

charlie and the chocolate factory was good, but willy wonka and the chocolate factory was awesome! i don't care what you say eric...

side note.......i just got home from seeing saw II and it was actually pretty dang good. much better than the first one. the first one bored me and the acting was horrid but the new one fixes most of the problems with the first one. its got its share of "crap" in it, but overall it was well over my expectations.

and back to the topic at hand.........THERE IS NO FREDDY W/OUT ROBERT ENGLUND! if they remake any freddy movie w/out him i won't even watch it on tbs.

Funny, all of the flaws you outlined for Saw I feel were much more prominent in Saw II (can we say shitty direction?).

I don't think Saw II was bad, but the only thing that really saved it for me is my love for Donnie Wahlberg.

Friday the 13th remake? of which one? and aren't half the sequels the same story as the others?

Evil Dead being remade is one of the worse ones.

Also, I heard this the other day... PREDATOR remake?!?!! WTF?!
You can't do it without Jesse Ventura, Carl Weathers, and especially not the Governor of California.

I AM A GODDAMN SEXUAL TYRANNOSAURUS!

I bet people never thought 20 years ago they were watching the future governors of Minnesota and California in action.

I'd watch a remake of anything if it was good. That seems to always be the problem though.

the only problem with the directing to me was the scenestrobe garbage. when they show a person from 50 different angles in 10 seconds with a flash of light b/w all of the changes. thats just gay and unaffective. other than that i thought the directing was fine. not great, but just fine.

FUCK NO.
I really hope that is just a rumor.
You do not touch Kubrick. And yes I know about the Shining remake but that's a different situation.

I think it is. I just tried to look it up and found no evidence of it. I think the only reason there was a remake of the Shining was that Stephen King hated Kubricks version. I liked Kubricks way more than the new one with that dude from "Wings".
