Do they still sound like Korn?

In Flames has been a horrible bore for years.
I've seriously walked out on their sets both times I've seen them.
I'd be shocked if this album were good.

Thousands of Hot Topic shoppers do!
I'd look forward to an anal leak more than a new In Flames leak.

Thats really a shame, they used to be such a good band, One of my first metal bands, The Jester Race/ Black Ash Inheritance was a good CD, they had some good stuff, but as many others, they have taken a major turn for the worst.

I haven't heard it yet, but scuttlebutt on the Net says it actually is a return to form for them, more than just hinting at their former glory. We'll see.

They said that about the last trainwreck horseshit-fest of an album too.
The only thing it was a return to was to the CD store I stupidly bought it from.

I downloaded it last night just cause it has been discussed here, listened to about 3 min of this one song, and it was nothing I felt the need to investigate any further and deleted it.

haha yeah the new dissection tracks are god awful. what the hell happened to them writing shit like storm of the lights bane and the somberlain. i feel no need to investigate the new in flames, the last one i heard was claymen it sucked. the first couple are good though. whoracle and jester race are good, and colony is kind of iffy.

I dl it because I don't like to bash anything without actually listening to it first (even though I had a strong suspicion that this album would suck ass no matter what). Anyone who says that this album is a return to In Flames former sound must not know any albums pre-clayman.
I refuse to accept that this is the same band who created Jester Race. Whoever encouraged Anders to sing clean vocals should get a big kick square in the nuts. Thats the worst part about the "new" In Flames. They always tucked his vocs away in the background and loaded the track up with reverb when he attempted to sing before. Now they just stick him out front and its cool because he does one hell of a Jonathan Davis impersonation.
I completely understand a band wanting to try something different even if it is lame as hell. The least they could do is change their name so the old die hard fans wouldn't have to be as embarassed.
