man me too, theres hardly any shoneys around here. i basically like all buffets though, but sometimes i get pissed off if the food is cold or they dont put enough out.

For maximum post-Asian bowel action, you really have to add the sphincter-testing glory of a Mongolian barbecue to your Chinese buffet experience.

I recommend Jade Palace on US 41 near I-285, since it's good and cheap. (And I go there so often they instantly get me a table and slap my statutory Diet Coke down.

Which one? There are a few Grand Buffets (or their near cousins, "Super Grand Buffets") with Mongolian BBQs in town....there's one on Pleasant Hill Rd., and also one down in Fayetteville. THAT one is fun to drop in on, en masse, after the RennFaire...in costume...with jousters..... Maybe a few too many jousters.....

brutaldeath, they massively remodeled Jade Palace last year, and you almost wouldn't recognize the buffet area. It actually looks almost classy now -- vaulted ceiling! -- and they expanded the buffet selections a bit.
--And they left the themed booths along the wall ("this is the bamboo booth, this is the Saturday Evening Post booth, this is the cocktail-lounge booth...") How they managed to get it all done in two weeks is beyond me. I walked in all unknowing, stared and said "ohmyfuckingod."
