24 Hours of Wrekage - 6/6/06

This has been mentioned in a few other topics but I'm putting it here to make it official: Wrekage will be on from midnight to midnight the entire day of 6/6/06. We're excited about making not only Wrekage history but WREK history as well, as I doubt anything like this has ever been done on the station (or possibly any station). I mean, this day only comes around every thousand years so we might as well take advantage of it while we're here.

We also want input from all of you - how should we go about filling 24 hours of metal? List any suggestions you have for possible show themes, any requests you have, any people you want us to try and track down, etc. and we'll see about incorporating it all into the show.

holy shit I'm sooo fuckin jealous!

as far as tracking poeple down, you should get in some of the band members from the bands that are playing that black metal show at Swayzes that night. Obviously it'll have to be before that show starts but that would be cool.

Well also, it's technologically impossible. We don't have a news truck with a dish antenna on it.

They could always phone the show in from Swayze's like WREK does with the baseball-game commentary. If it's old-school black metal, no-one will notice the difference anyway.

Yeah theres no bass or harsh drums in TRUE black Metal anyway. I think the quality should sound really good for BM anyway

About two weeks ago I emailed two of the AJC reporters with news of our 6/6/6 show (their radio reporter, Rodney Ho, and one of their music critics, Shane Harrison)...... No mention of it in the paper, of course, unless I missed it.

It'll be interesting to see if the live stream has more connections than normal tomorrow.
