American support of Israel.
Is anyone else, not due to some nazi feeling or some shit, but just due to logical, rational thought, getting more and more disgusted with our(America) flagrant bias towards Israel? I'm sitting here watch a Israeli politician flatulate at the mouth about how awful it was that Hezbollah rockets , some of them were made by Iran, and how this is a total atrocity. Now, anytime the Palestinians or others in that area, bring up how, that since almost every piece of military equipment that Israel possesses and uses, is paid for and given to them, by the United States, this is dismissed in our media and Israel's as just being "business". 'The friend of my enemy is my enemy' comes to mind and is a maxim that is most ancient. I also find it amusing, that for once Hezbollah kidnapped, soldiers for once, instead of the random Sabarro or McDonalds. Combatants. What does Israel do? Blow up the runway in Lebanon. Blow up civil buildings. 51 civilians, two Lebanese soldiers, zero Hezbollah. Their reaction to the kidnappings, could be compared to the United States invading Aruba, blowing up their governmental officies, under the guise of "searching for Natalie Holloway". I hardly think anyone here would find that to be proportional repsonse. Why does Israel continually get a free ride, politically, financially, anally, etc. ?
Hezbollah makes its money from Heroin they then use that money to buy weapons from Iran. Then they use kids to strap bombs to kids and tell them they will die a martyr if they kill the Jews. The fact is that Iran?s president is the same guy that was interrogating the hostages of the Ayatollah. He was also quoted ?he will not stop until all the Jews are dead.? Don?t you think that Israel has a better intelligence of what is going on in the Middle East than us? Israel has been telling us for a long time that Iran is working on nuclear weapons. Germany, France and the former USSR (where do you think they are getting the scientist to make the weapons) are backing the Arab nations. Israel is surrounded by Arabs they will not stop till all the Jews are gone. The younger generation has to show the palatine state that they still wield the authority wage war. I can elaborate more but it is Friday and I am ready to get the fuck out of the office.

Interesting...
...well, this current administration and its pandering to Isreal may have a lot to do with the core group's religious ideology.
The religious wing of American politics has an agenda to ensure that everything goes in the favour of Israel.
All the turmoil in the Middle-East should be used as an example of why "religion" is absolutely absurd, and out of place in modern context. As always, the tree/the fruit analogy is a good one here as well. Where religion spreads, turmoil follows.
Anyone notice that there haven't been any Buddhist holy wars, or Satanic Crusades?

What we're up against here is stupidity, raw human idiocy - on BOTH sides. Actually there aren't 2 sides, we're all part of the same planet/universe/etc and, at heart, are EXACTLY the same, only in appearance and outward expressions do we differ. The idea of "us and them" is merely an idea, albiet one that gets alot of people mulched.
It's painfully obvious that setting off bombs in the midst of civilians isn't going to help your cause, isn't it? It's also rather clear that shelling your neighbor further into the stone age and driving tanks down their streets isn't going to make them love you. The world needs to deal with the fanatics ON ALL SIDES as you would with a disease, with intelligence, not more ignorance - nationalism, dogma, racism and violence, which is, in the end, just fighting fire with fire - it's not gonna work. A very small percentage of fanatics can constantly derail the peace process. Actually, there isn't a "peace process", there's either peace or there isn't. It is either here right now or you're waiting for it in some non-existant future which means it's not here now. We need to embody peace and deal with the inevitable idiots intelligently. Also, we need to quit propagandizing our own children - ignorance travels in streams of humanity and is passed down from generation to generation.

Terrorists don't respond to diplomacy. They respond to bombs. Education and intelligence and step 2. Step one is kill all the fuckers that won't think twice about killing us first. Enough Geneva Convention bullshit written for a different era. Our enemies don't wear uniforms, frequently don't represent a specific nation, and will do anything to wipe out the Great Satan and Israel. Fortunately they're ignorant and easily led. Stop their leaders and cut off intelligence (in a military sense) and we can continue to solve the problem of Islamic extremism and violent reprisals from the US and Israel.
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.
Wahaha... this is great.
I was more speaking to bias issue in my original post, but the situation and topic seems to have expanded.
The equivalent to what Hizb'allah is currently doing, is launching hundreds of rockets across Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie from Canada, into Detroit and Flint. To continue the hypothetical, for six years, the government of Canada has agreed to disarm/remove Hizb'allah, and instead Hizb'allah has joined the government. I do not think the United States or any other country would just sit back and let their third largest city and other towns be assaulted with random missle attack. Think London and V-2s during World War two. Granted, the government of Lebanon is and has been weak, after years of internecine conflict, and the majority of Lebanese have no appreciation for Hizb'allah or their aggresive behavior as of late. That said, if Lebanon can't disarm/remove the Hizb'allah, Israel is more than willing and capable to do so, and appears to be working to that end, as they should.

They certainly do, but not in a way that supports your argument. Please see the ongoing Iraq situation or the entire modern history of the Mideast for about 1000 examples of bombs/ammo/general retaliation further exacerbating and complicating the 'peace process.'ProstheticHead12 wrote:Terrorists don't respond to diplomacy. And yeah, they are ignornant, but not much more ignorant than the "kill 'em all! They're just gunna grow up an' hate on yer keeds!" mentality.

Re: Interesting...
Dude, where ya been for the last 40 years? Every administration has "pandered" to Israel......because we don't have any other trustworthy allies in the region. It's not as if Muslims suddenly started hating the US since GWB took office; they've resented our support for Israel for as long as I can remember.NeuroNomicon wrote:...well, this current administration and its pandering to Isreal may have a lot to do with the core group's religious ideology.
The 9/11 attacks were in the planning stage long before Bush took office. The 9/11 Commission Report made that clear. I recommend it highly.
