Satan.
freedom.
Most wouldn't know what to with freedom if they actually had it. (And most will be seeking freedom from the noise collaboration that is opening the show on Friday, I can tell you that!)
Brother Nietzsche had it right:
"You call yourself free? Your dominant thought I want to hear, and not that you have escaped from the yolk. Are you one of those who had the *right* to be free? There are those who cast off their last virtue when the cast off their servitude. Free from what? As if that mattered to Zarathustra! But, your eyes should tell me brightly, free *for* what" - Nietzsche, "Thus Spake Zarathustra"

i just got back from this. it ruled. i missed the first band but i didn't hear too many good things about them. eyes of ligea was good. really slow but they have some badass guitar riffs. quienta essentia was very good as well. i liked them. and hellgoat fucking ruled. hellgoat definitly put on a very good show. blasphemy from serpent tounges was my favorite. very good show.

That was the point.... a noise project that doesn't alienate 99% of the people who try to listen to it isn't trying hard enough. I'll probably never know if I actually *liked* it, but I did endure it (which is probably the more proper attitude toward it anyway).
Where the hell were the rest of you "Oh yeah, I'll be there" people?!?

How many people were at the show for Hellgoat? I stopped by just before 8:00 and the place was virtually empty.

I heard the paid attendance was something like 38. Add in the bands, Deathgasm and Swayze's employees, etc. and it made for a decent crowd.
