Favourite Bars
What's everybody's favourite bar here in town?
Ours was a strange place in Marietta called Cafe Here, but it tanked. They had a bar shaped like a hand, and had a really strange/futuristic atmosphere. There's a couple of decent pubs in Decatur, as well as Johnnie McCracken's in Marietta, but that's about it.
I am wanting to check this place out, as the idea is just too bonkers not too:

Are you talking just pubs, or any type of drinking establishment?
I like the Highlander, mostly because of their selection of single-malt scotch. Which is a good thing I don't go there that often or I'd probably get in trouble somehow or other. Scotch is one thing I can drink too much of without realizing it, until it suddenly hits me. :\

Pubage
This place is fucking awesome too: http://www.brickstorepub.com
The upstairs is about as Medieval as it gets, well, short of having a dungeon.
Pubs are typically our cup of tee.

I love going to the Brick Store, I live like 5 minutes away from it.NeuroNomicon wrote:This place is fucking awesome too: http://www.brickstorepub.com

They have like a 15 pound leather bound menu full of beer from all over the world. My favorite is some german beer called Foghorn, it's got like 15% alcohol in it.
That place, George's (next to Moe's & Joes), Neighbors/Hand In Hand, Highland Tap, Front Page News and The Brew House over on Moreland, and The Earl are my favorite bars. If I'm forced to be in Buckhead amongst a brigade of repressed homosexual frat goons I like to hang out at East Andrews, Fado, or C.J.'s Landing.
And I originally got addicted to beer while spending way too many nights (and a few early afternoons) at Rocky Mountain so I'll give it some love. Nothing beats going there inbetween classes and looking at people watch on in awe as you and your friends down a bucket of beer apiece then head back to class.

This is gonna sound cheesy as hell, but I enjoyed the Rock Bottom Brewery. They have this beer vat and all the equipment that brews their home brewed beers enclosed in a glass case and it's really cool to look at... not sure if that's the REAL beer they brew but it's cool anyway. The beer isn't too bad either.

Finally made it there a few weeks ago, not a bad place. That's where I took those dudes from Dismember & Grave to drink because nothing else was open. Yes, I shamelessly mentioned that.Knucklehead wrote:I used to go to Trackside, here in Decatur, once or twice a week, but I haven't been there in ages.

Yup - it's far for me nowadays but my favorite for the huge selection of Belgian Ales.NeuroNomicon wrote:This place is fucking awesome too: http://www.brickstorepub.com
My favorite is El Myr by far! You cant beat a pitcher of beer with their chicken burrito! The Righteous Room is awesome too. I would say The Highlander but that place is so damned expensive...
But the best bar I've ever been too ever is The Go Bar in Athens, you can get totally trashed with $20, and tho its not a metal place, there are no pretentious jackasses or UGA jocks ruining your night.
