Hell yeah! Count me it!
But if that place is too small, we should take over the side of Manuel's on Highland and North! Its big AND a good selection of beer at a good price.

I might be down. If anyone from the boards is ever in Athens I'll be happy to go drinking whenever.
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.

I nominate Manuels, so you guys can trek over to the Star Bar to see Dust Rabbit afterwards.

Or...WHATEVZ

If anyone has any other choices of where to go we'll add them to the poll.

I have a grudge against the Local now. I went in there the night I had the flat tire -- there were a bunch of guys there but none of them would help me. A good bartender would have spurred those guys to get up and help me, don't you think? Especially given the time of night it was and the fact that the place is overrun with crackheads and pimps. At least he ought to have tried to help me look up some place that might have been open. But none of them in there could be fucked to give me the time of day.

Oh well, if we decide to go to the Local, I won't let that affect whether I come. Maybe they'll have a different bartender this time. If not, I'll give that guy a piece of my mind... it was the black guy that had the silly feather in his hair.

That guy has always been alright with me, but apparently he won some "hottest bartender in Atlanta" thing in Creative Loafing a few years back and thinks he's an important social figure or something.

Someone needs to remind him that he makes $6 an hour on crackhead alley.

I think logistics-wise that Manuel's would be the best place to meet up, based on size, parking availability, and central location.

I doubt very much that most of us make our decisions based on sound rational logic however, so on that note I selfishly want to go to the Brick Store because it kicks the most ass of the 4 choices so far.

I'll leave this open for discussion through November 1st, then we'll start actually planning something. Those of you who know people that either aren't registered here or rarely post on this board that haven't already spoke up and you think they'd want to come, pass the word along to them to read over this topic.

I am having the most evil idea... it involves bringing along my camcorder.
Some of you already know what I have in mind. ::Looks at NeuroMike::
