OzzFest '07....FREE?!

ok...so what the fuck? ozzfest is free this year? what the fuck is going on here? ozzfest is actually coming to atlanta this year? how do i get a ticket? are sepultura (reunited w/ max cavelera) playing this as i hear from rumors?

" That's right, OZZY and SHARON OSBOURNE and tour producer LIVE NATION broke the news today at the Concert Industry Consortium in Los Angeles that their 12th annual hard rock spectacular--a 25-date extravaganza launching July 7 in Los Angeles--is pulling the plug on ticket prices and giving the power back to the fans calling this summer.s OZZFEST "FreeFest." The other OZZFEST cities as of now are San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, Kansas City, St Louis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Hartford, Charlotte, Atlanta, West Palm Beach, Nashville. Note: a final confirmed list of cities and dates is forthcoming."

I also heard something about Ozzfest being free...it said go to www.livenation.com. I went and couln't find anything...maybe it changed?

I highly doubt Black Sabbath will play Ozzfest. Even so, I wouldn't degrade myself by attending such a garbage festival.

i thought i heard something about black sabbath touring with dio fronting them this year at some point.

anyway, i don't know the roster but i'd go to it if it was free.

if sepultura plays with max and igor than they'll be no stopping me anyway. it's a of mine to actually see the real sepultura. and i'd have to say that i'd probably have to drag my ass down to the pit for that one. too many old memories.

well, its going to be free for sure. i just looked at the ozzfest website and they said something about it all being free and having to get tickets "secured" through sponsers.

i'm betting that the line-up is going to suck and that tickets will be "secured out" really quick.

and yeah, sabbath is embarking on the "heaven and hell" tour w/dio but ozzy will be doing his solo stuff at ozzfest. whoopty doo.

the line up sucks. if sepultura plays with max i will go. if the tickets are all gone you can still sneak in pretty easy.

The possibility exists of seeing Soulfly with Igor behind the kit for a few tracks, but I highly doubt a Sepultura reunion is in the works for this year's Ozzfest. Everything Andreas has said publicly has seemed pretty negative toward the idea. It's great that Max and Igor are speaking again, but without Andreas it still isn't a Sepultura Reunion...unless they've got Jairo T. lined up.

I still contend that the reunion will happen one day. But I just don't think it will be this summer.
