I love Iced Earth now; WHAT THE FUCK?!
That DVD kicks all sorts of ass.

Barlow is easily the best singer in power metal.

Well if you consider Iron Maiden power metal...

If so yes.

If not, still yes.

I mean yeah they're technically something else, but yes no matter how you define genre. He's a vocalist in a metal band that sings, not screams/growls/whatever.

He comes in a close second.

I hold Bruce in higher regard than Barlow, but I don't consider Maiden to be power metal. If I did, he would be my favorite power metal vocalist without a doubt.

I consider Maiden to be the best example of traditional heavy metal. I still like Kursch better though.
Fuck it, Dude, let's go bowling.

It depends what you're looking for in a power metal singer. Power metal is cheeze by nature, so maybe you want someone like the Sonata Arctica singer or the Dream Evil singer, who are both pretty awesomely cheesy, in my opinion. They hit all the fuckin high notes. Otherwise, Stick with Dick. inson, that is.

I prefer tenors and hitting the high notes. Barlow's baritone just sounds weird especially because he singing style is weird.
I don't know. I'm gonna give him another chance.

Dickinson isn't exactly a power metal singer, in fact he has one thing over power metal singers, and that is the fact that he can keep his tone even when going into a high range, and that makes him THE elite singer.

But if we're just talking about great singers, I feel that Robert Lowe (Solitude Aeturnus) should be mentioned. His tone is very interesting. Also I'm rather fond of Danny White, the singer on Born of the Cauldron. But most people probably wouldn't like White's style.
