Thats like saying getting a piercing or tattoo isn't a human right. Anything I do that isn't causing harm to anyone else is my right. If a business decides that they don't want to hire me based on that, they are conforming to their (conservative) view of what one of their employees should look like, which is also their right. I never said they were wrong for doing it, I was simply stating facts. Although I may or may not agree with it.ProstheticHead12 wrote:Having long hair isn't exactly a human right.TSisterfan567 wrote:heh, believe me I would have never cut it if I didn't have 2 keep it short. I work in retail in a semi-management position. If my hair hits my collar, I get written up by my superiors, as much bullshit as that is. I've been searching for a job that pays just as well w/o the strict guidelines. So far, theres no real luck, which isn't suprising since this is the south where conservative views overshadow human rights.Pat wrote:Just grow your hair out.

How about expanding on that a tad instead of offering one liners?ProstheticHead12 wrote:Getting a tattoo or piercing is not a human right.TSisterfan567 wrote:Thats like saying getting a piercing or tattoo isn't a human right. Alright well if we lived in communism that would be the case. A luxury is like driving a car on public roads, which can be taken away from you. Getting a tattoo or piercing is my body, I have ultimate control over my body. If I wanted to tattoo my face theres nothing anyone could do about it, it's my right.ProstheticHead12 wrote:I could ask you to do the same. How is any of the above a right? Where are you guaranteed access to a job regardless of your looks? Human rights are basic freedoms like access to food and water and protection from persecution. Piercings, tattoos, and long hair are all luxuries and have nothing to do with true human rights.
You have the ability, not the right. I'm done arguing.TSisterfan567 wrote:Alright well if we lived in communism that would be the case. So it's not my right to get a tattoo on my body? Okay. Well I suppose you can show me what law I am breaking? Your point is null and void.ProstheticHead12 wrote:You have the ability, not the right. What does the slowest band in metal have to do with a tattoo on my face?Blarg! wrote:Did you hear what happened to brent hinds?MikeLindgren wrote:I have a tattoo on my face.
The story goes he got drunk and took off his shirt and started snapping people in the ass with it,apparently he snapped the ass of some black wu-tang clan guy and he punched him in the face, hahaha.
I think brent also threw dave grohl in a pool.
And so begins the stedy downfall of brent hinds. As if he wasent already sitting at the bottom

My boyfriend had to cut off his long hair and beard for the police. The 2 months leading up to the hair cut, he was so fucking stressed out over it. He looks like a skinhead now though so I guess it's still 'metal-ish'
