30 Days Of Night
is awesome!
this was the first horror movie i've seen in a long ass time where a crowded theater was silent for the entire movie. usually you get hotheaded teenagers trying to act like badassess and laugh at "scary" parts but not during 30 days of night. not even any screams b/c the movie makes you feel that you have to be silent or you'll get killed. i thought it was awesome and by far the most intense movie i've seen on the big screen in years.

That is good to hear. I am starting to get fed up with horror movie that are anything but scary. The last scary movie I saw was 1408 which wasn't really scary at all. I actually was looking forward to seeing this movie thanks for the tip blaze.

1408 was rated PG-13. There's your first clue that it was going to suck.Death2all wrote:That is good to hear. I am starting to get fed up with horror movie that are anything but scary. I actually didn't even pay attention to that, but yeah I guess your right.holly wrote:1408 was rated PG-13. There's your first clue that it was going to suck.Death2all wrote:That is good to hear. I know this is off subject but I actually just got around to seeing transformers I was really surprised how good it turned out. Can't wait to see the next one.

yeah, i felt the same way going in but hartnett is actually good in this movie. he always strikes me as some teeny-bopper or movie version of a WB actor but i was impressed with his performance on this.
i usually check out reviews on http://www.bloody-disgusting.com before i get too excited about a movie and they gave it a super solid review so i had to go see it. Most all of the reviews they post on BD.com are reliable but Mr. Disgusting gives the best reviews of anyone on the site or of anyone i've found online.......for me and my tastes at least. i'd say that i agree with his reviews about 75-80% of the time, which is pretty damn good.

the movie was good and the vampires weren't really mutants in the movie (i don't know about the book/comic book). they just seemed like monsters. for that matter in just about all adaptations of vampires or dracula the vampire's features change during attacks and in this movie they are on constant attack.
There should be a movie about just regular humans,Who are lurking around at night biteing into peoples necks and drinking their blood.BlazeTSU wrote:holly wrote:I wasn't sure because of the whole Josh Hartnett + vampires thing, so I'm really excited to see this now.

There was "Vampire's Kiss" with Nicholas Cage. The highlight of that was watching him eat a live cockroach. Apparently, the director had him do a second take, with a second roach, and then used the first in the movie.Blarg! wrote:There should be a movie about just regular humans,Who are lurking around at night biteing into peoples necks and drinking their blood.

As I recall, though, that movie isn't very creepy.

I was thinking more along the lines of a group of people living in the forests of transylvania and coming into town every now and then and eating people alive.
Holy shit,That would be cool.

yeah me and my boyfriend were talking about how the vampires in this movie are just like animals and not some gay ass romantic shit. Since when are vampires romantic? anyways, this movie was really good and I had no idea that was Josh Hartnett. I only know who he is b/c my cousin had posters of him a few years back.BlazeTSU wrote:holly wrote:I wasn't sure because of the whole Josh Hartnett + vampires thing, so I'm really excited to see this now.
