I'm debating it, it's either a road trip for Maiden or a road trip for At the Gates and At the Gates will probably win.

I've already priced out some flights, it'll be about $250 round trip to go see them in NYC and I have a few friends up there so I have free lodging. It'll be a lot cheaper than Bonnaroo was last summer and probably cheaper than a Maiden roadtrip. Only problem is my friend who was going to go see At the Gates with me isn't sure if he wants to go up to NYC to see them, but that's pretty much the only date on this coast.

The only thing I don't like about the situation is that we're already going up for a week at the end of May. I just wish the timing was better...

UPDATE - RE: AT THE GATES
We are thinking about doing it, but driving up since it'll still be cheaper than two plane tickets.
We have an infinite number of people we can stay with.
Filling the car is preferred (which means two more bodies). Keep in mind it's a GTI, but the back really does have a lot of space for a hatchback.
Contact me or Rich.

When do you need to know by? I'd really like to go but I need to find out what my plans are for this summer job-wise.

I mean, it's in July, so who knows what the hell can happen.
Even if we buy tickets to the show, driving ensures we won't get fucked money-wise because we can always sell them on craigslist.
Committing to plane tickets for something four months away? Not so much.
