Hidden tracks before "track #1" on a CD

Post by DeathfareDevil » Sun June 1st, 2008, 11:20 pm

A very strange idea that seemed to pop up every once in a while. I was wondering a) if anyone else was familiar with it, and b) what other albums did it.

That I know of, there was Mayhem's Grand Declaration of War, Satyricon's Rebel Extravaganza, and Arcturus' La Masquerade Infernale (though my version doesn't have it).

One would think that a band would put something interesting at a point on the CD that you actually have to manually rewind to hear, but of the two examples I listed above, there was nothing ... noteworthy.

I know this is a metal forum, but... 311's Transistor album has that. As far as I know, it's the only CD I have that does it.
