Amen. Did you hear the Candlelight re-release? Even though most of the atmosphere is gone, there are all kinds of previously unheard tracks (as in guitar/vocal/keyboard tracks within each song) that make it practically a new album. I wouldn't recommend getting rid of your old copy (like my dumb ass did), however.Vhyle wrote:Fantastic album!necroodin wrote:Arcturus - Aspera Heims Symfonia
Nah, haven't heard it. When I was ordering that album, I actually almost did buy the re-release, but I opted for the original issue instead.DeathfareDevil wrote:Amen. Here's what I'm not listening to: WREKage. Where is everyone?
Oh, and a note -- yet again, so I apologize for the redundancies -- on that new Nachtmystium. After listening to it through a "Pink Floyd filter," if you will, since this was mentioned a several posts back, I realized something quite striking. The very first track, "One of These Nights," is -- choose your descriptor -- either heavily inspired by or a total ripoff of Floyd's "One of These Days." Not only is the music massively similar, but, as in the PF version where a creepy voice comes in and says, "One of these days I'm going to cut you into a thousand pieces," in Nachtmystium's "tribute," a voice says, "One of these nights, I'm going to fucking die." So there it is.

Huge mixup tonight, resulting in the first time there has been no WREKage in a few years. It sucks. I didn't find out about this until 12:15 so I can't make my way up there now, since if I left my house right now I wouldn't get there until 2 AM, and I have to be at work at 10 AM so I can't afford to miss out on the sleep.DeathfareDevil wrote:Here's what I'm not listening to: WREKage. My latest purchases:
Martriden - The Unsettling Dark. Loving it, of course.
Zonaria - Infamy and the Breed - I'll be honest, I'm a bit let down. I mean it's pretty good, but there's really only two or three stand-out tracks on the album. The rest of them just seem to be bland. I'm having a hard time getting into it.
Striborg - Spiritual Catharsis - man, I don't know what it is about this. This makes my second Striborg album (other one being Ghostwoodlands). I never though I'd enjoy this music, because the production quality is complete and utter ass. But, the music is just entrancing and really eerie, it just draws me in instantly. I love this guy! (it's a one-man band). Like I said, production-wise, it's complete and total shit. But music-wise, it's amazing. He plays really simple riffs, drum beats and keys, but it's really dark and creepy. I love it.
