I'm a movie star!

Post by kfoll » Thu June 26th, 2008, 8:29 am

Last summer, I was invited to act (and assist in production of) a short film entitled "Zombie Free," in which I play -- guess what?

Yes, you got it right -- I play a ZOMBIE!

So, I got the word last night -- Zombie Free has just been accepted to the Atlanta Underground Film Festival!!

The film will be screened at the Plaza Theater (Ponce & Highland Ave.) on August 22, at 8:00 p.m.
Tickets are available in advance for $7.50 using the provided link below.

If you are into being really, really disturbed, please don't miss seeing me as a zombie; I must say I gave a truly chilling performance. I really didn't have to do much acting, though, as I really am a zombie. ;) However, I have to say, the makeup lady did a superb job tranforming me into a horrific, flesh-eating monster!

Zombie Free was produced by Greelock productions, a small studio in the metro Atlanta area. It was filmed entirely on location in the studio, and includes a cast of about 30 people, and a crew of about twice that. In addition to acting and getting in the way, I assisted in props, and I filmed all of the "Behind the Scenes" footage.

Congrats! May your stint as the living dead propel you to celluloid immortality. Did you get any lines in? (Granted, zombie vernacular is limited to variations of moaning, but still...)

No lines, mostly just doing the foot-drag thing all hunched over like I'm about to fall apart. That was pretty fun.
