edit: where did you see this date listed? It's not on their website...
Moonspell dates were listed in the weekly tour dates email from Heavy Hitter and it says "w/ Danzig and Dimmu Borgir"
Also, does WRAS pay for part of your CMJ expenses or do you pay out of your own pocket? I'd like to go eventually so I need to look into that for WREK.
WRAS pays our expenses if we're on management...which I am. They haven't payed for anything yet...I actually bought my CMJ ticket a few months back and this was before I got on management.
Cool. I'm on the exec staff over at WREK, but I'm only the contest director so they probably wouldn't pay for me to go. Even though I'm one of only 2 (I think) people involved with CMJ at the station, and I do a lot more with it than the other guy.
contest director? at wras we call it promotions director... same thing! I'm the assistent promotions director...for us it's really up to the general manager to decide if all our shi gets payed for or not. but he's cool. it may be different for you guys.
on a side note: man I really want to go to this show!
They had you do a drug test and the forgot to test for drugs???

Lame now they're saying on Blabbermouth that it's on 10/11, which is the same night as Kamelot. Fuck I've been wanting to see Kamelot for such a long time I might go to that one.

So what do you guys think of Danzig? I bought the first album on vinyl, back in the day, and was totally taken in by it. I had heard of the Misfits, of course, but had never heard them and didn't really know who he was. That first album has so much power and energy. I suppose these days it'd be called "black'n'roll"?
But then the second one seemed a little cheesy and I lost interest after that. What do you guys think?
I had intially thought of passing on this show, but one of my buddies clearly thought I was being blasphemous...

Yeah yeah I know Kamelot is gay as hell...
but The Black Halo is my favorite power metal album of all time, they're one of my favorite power metal bands ever, and they've skipped Atlanta on every tour in recent memory. The other show though, I've seen every band except for Danzig, and he'll always be back. Kamelot just sucks shit with tour routing.

i think the world is a better place b/c of DANZIG! the first album is pure genius as well as the next two IMO.

i agree with metalfreak......DANZIG is getting older and his voice has been shot for a few years now so i wouldn't bank on him coming through too many more times. he is 53, has a struggling voice and has thinning hair........he might be reaching the end of his career.
