Oh man...

What a great excuse to go back up to New England!

I doubt I'll be able to, though. Sadface.

This is the best 2-day deal I've seen yet on a deathfest. It'll probably go up next year, too. I like all the bands I know on that lineup, so I'm sure the rest of them will be good for the most part.

Well, I'm excited about it now, I've never been to Providence and I'll probably get to sight-see with my friend for a few days too. Anyone have suggestions on what I should go see while I'm there?

there are some pretty cool mansions in Newport, RI. They're right on the coast (literally on the edge) and you can make a trip to the beach while you're at it. These mansions are ridiculously huge...they give tours. The gov't owns most of them so noone lives in them. Also I'm sure there's some cool stuff to do in Providence too.

If you go to Providence look for the Armageddon Shop, which is one of the best record stores you will find anywhere--I believe it is still open. It is owned by one of the members from Drop Dead and caters to punk, grind, and metal fans.

Still open: www.armageddonshop.com

Wow, what a cool city, I like it already! I'm staying in a house that's almost 200 years old and its the new house... lots of cool shit to see here. Tonight's the pre-show but I'll probly skip that unless I can sneak in for free heh... only a couple bands I'm interested in anyway. Tomorrow is the real shit.

Well, this was about the sickest show I have EVER attended. Holy fucking crap. I can't even be articulate about it now because I'm hurting all over from the headbanging and standing around from 2 pm til 3am!  But the highlights for now are:Pessimist fucking owns. Malignancy also. Skinless were in rare form - always fun to see live. CODC was amazing as well. In fct I can't think of any band on the lineup that wasn't awesome. Great crowd up here too, and a really nice venue they've got, especially Club Hell.I highly recommend this for next year if anyone's considering a metal fest.

I took tons of pics which I'll upload sometime in the next few days.
