Midnight Meat Train

Post by JMincemoyer » Thu August 7th, 2008, 9:08 am

Does anyone know if this film is going to hit Atlanta theatres? It is out, but it seems that Lionsgate dumped this immediately into $1/$2 theatres. I know that the Athens, family-oriented, $1 theatre will not show this film.

Thanks.

Funny, never made THAT connection, although Clive Barker is gay. They were going to sanitize the film's title to Midnight Train, but it appears to have gone through as planned.

MMT is the first of 15 planned films based upon Barker's "Books of Blood."

They're showing this at the $1.50 theater in Fayetteville so I'll have to check it out.

Do you have the address of this theatre?

Checked through the AJC on Saturday and no one is showing MMT in Atlanta. I did see that the Plaza Theatre is showing "Mongol", which is incredible.

Cinemark Movies 10
157 Banks Station, Fayetteville, GA 30214

It doesn't look like they're playing it too often, though. Only one showtime, and that's at 10:30 AM.

I'm not sure if anyone is interested, there should be a "movie" forum here, but I scanned the newest issue of Rue Morgue (Pumpkinhead cover) and it seems that they have already finished or are nearing completion on "Book of Blood," the second film in the "Books of Blood" installment (I need to re-read those...) They are currently working on the third film, but I cannot remember the title...

Speaking of Pumpkinhead, wasn't it Super X-13 that did a song titled "Pumpkinhead?"
