i can never get off work in time to ever catch a masquerade show. such a shame they always have to end them early for the hipster dance parties.

GWAR Con

Post by raretodd » Mon August 18th, 2008, 7:13 pm

I've heard that they hang around at Dragon Con every year in their costumes. I don't know that they actually play a show at Dragon Con, but they sure fit in visually with all the Trekkie geeks (on some level).

Fun show. This was actually my first time seeing GWAR. Toxic Holocaust is always fun, too. Saw a few familiar faces in the sea of people.

First time seeing Gwar. I regret not seeing them the last few times they've been here. Toxic Holocaust was pretty damned good too, but Kingdom of Sorrow is the most pitiful excuse for metal I've ever heard/seen.

I was gonna go but got sick. oh well I've seen them before anyways, same with Toxic Holocaust.

@Tommy - I'm sorry about the whole guestlist incident. The office managers can be real idiots about that shit! 8) Hopefully you didn't miss too much...well, if Kingdom of Sorrow was first then I guess you didn't miss anything haha!

I saw you walking around but never got the chance to come say hey, I was stuck at the dead front center on the rail and wasn't losing my spot for any undeserving fags.

GWAR and Toxic Holocaust are always a treat, fuck Kingdom of Sorrow.

No apology necessary for a freeloader like me. You're the greatest, Amanda. Got in with no problem before anything really got started. Thanks again...for probably the hundreth time!

Yeah man, I saw Herb. We hung out for a few minutes when I saw him at the bar. It was little bit unusual seein' him at a show by himself.

Yeah, I saw you at your usual spot. I never managed to make my way up front, though. I finally ended up more or less pinned to the left side wall for most of the night. Good times though.
