since I don't have a car this doesn't affect me. My boyfriend has to drive to work and he seems to always have gas though. I did fill his car up the other day and the gas station I pulled into had ONLY the cheap stuff (not complaining, that's what we always buy anyways)
yeah I have seen so many gas stations with no gas...and they're ofcourse empty. It is a strange sight.

No need to feel bad about buying regular gasoline. For the most part, higher octane gas is a marketing gimmick by the fuel companies. The Federal Trade Commission evens says so.Metalfreak wrote:I did fill his car up the other day and the gas station I pulled into had ONLY the cheap stuff (not complaining, that's what we always buy anyways)
Of course, if you have a high-performance engine, you will need to buy higher octane gasoline. But, the important thing is to buy what the manufacturer recommends, because all engines are designed to burn a certain grade of gas. The overwhelming majority of engines are designed to burn the low-test. So buying premium is waste of money for most of us.

yeah I noticed on the inside of some of the gas tank lids it says which gas to put in...and all the ones I've seen said to use the cheap stuff!Knucklehead wrote:No need to feel bad about buying regular gasoline. I've been working at Netherworld for the past 2nights and on the way home I have to drive by the QT on Pleasantdale...holy fuck you should see those lines! wow...I've never seen anything like that before! the lines go out into the access rd and into pleasantdale rd. It's fucking crazy!
oh and Daniel said the main gas pumps for the police cars ran out of gas. They get it from elsewhere but still...that is fucked up!

I think you just have to be lucky and be at the right place at the right time
We'll have no gas here then 1 gas station will get gas and everyone will rush there and there will be like 50 cars there
Luckily I got to Quiktrip like an hour after they got a shipment and I only had to wait like 5 minutes
I got a full tank so I can make it to the Kataklysm/Eluveitie show Friday

I didn't wait in line long enoughkfoll wrote:SO, did you win?mrjumping wrote: Don't believe any of this media conspiracy. There's plenty of gas in Atlanta. People are just waiting in line for lottery tickets.
Yeah I guess its getting here but just sporadically. And the weekend is not the right time to be getting gas. On Saturday I drove my niece all around town looking for gas because she was on empty, and she finally found some but had to wait in line at WalMart or Kroger or something. But last night I went to the Shell station and filled up with no problem, no waiting. Moral of the story is get it on weekdays, don't wait til Friday.GameFreac wrote:I think you just have to be lucky and be at the right place at the right time

This reminds me, I watched this movie Tooth and Nail the other night. It's a post-apocalyptic horror/thriller flick. They postulate that the end of the world happens not becuase of nuclear war or viruses, but because everyone runs out of gas.

Yeah I got to do that shit last night...they were remarkably organized and the line moved reasonably fast though.Metalfreak wrote:
